Frequently asked questions

What is CeraVe and who is it for?

CeraVe is a dermatologist-developed range built around three essential ceramides and MVE technology, which releases hydrating ingredients gradually over 24 hours. It is designed to restore and maintain the skin barrier, so it suits everyone from dry and eczema-prone skin to oily, blemish-prone skin. It is fragrance-free and non-comedogenic across the range.

Which CeraVe cleanser should I use?

Hydrating Cleanser is a creamy, non-foaming wash for normal to dry skin. Foaming Cleanser is for normal to oily skin and removes excess oil without stripping. Blemish Control Cleanser adds 2% salicylic acid for congested, spot-prone skin. SA Smoothing Cleanser is for rough, bumpy skin on the face and body.

What is the difference between CeraVe Moisturising Cream and Moisturising Lotion?

Both contain the same three ceramides and hyaluronic acid. The Cream is richer and best for dry to very dry skin, eczema-prone skin and colder months. The Lotion is lighter, absorbs faster and suits normal to dry skin or anyone who prefers a less heavy texture. Both can be used on face and body.

Is CeraVe suitable for eczema, psoriasis and babies?

Yes. CeraVe was originally developed for compromised skin and several products carry the National Eczema Association seal in the US. Moisturising Cream and Hydrating Cleanser are gentle enough for the whole family, including babies. If you have a diagnosed skin condition, check with your GP or dermatologist first.

Is the CeraVe sold by Flawless Body the genuine UK version?

Yes. We stock the official UK/EU formulations, sourced through L'Oréal's UK distribution rather than imported. Formulas and labelling can differ between regions, so buying the UK version means you get products tested to UK and EU cosmetic regulations. Orders over £30 ship free from Stamford, Lincolnshire.
